Job summary

AT3 partnered with an established aerospace and defense component manufacturer to recruit a Director of Supply Chain. The role directs strategic sourcing, planning, inventory, logistics, and continuous improvement to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings aerospace experience, strong leadership, and the ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 8–12+ years in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
• Proven multi-functional leadership and supplier management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and supply chain analytics.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% (international and domestic).
• On-site daily in Vergennes, VT.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives and production demand across all business units.
• Lead and develop supply chain, purchasing, planning, and logistics teams.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program Management.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and establish supplier performance metrics.
• Oversee strategic sourcing for electronic components, raw materials, and outsourced services.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and long-term agreements.
• Establish supplier performance metrics and lead supplier development initiatives.
• Manage supplier risk including obsolescence and capacity constraints.
• Direct demand planning and production planning to support milestones.
• Oversee domestic and international logistics with ITAR/EAR compliance.
• Ensure aerospace standards compliance and quality collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma.
