Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Director of Supply Chain in North Hollywood to lead and optimize production planning, purchasing, shipping/receiving, and inventory control within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.

The role requires 10+ years in aerospace supply chain with strong ERP/MRP expertise, data analytics, and leadership. You will drive KPI-based decisions, partner with engineering and quality teams, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
10+ years of aerospace/regulatory supply chain experience is required.
Leadership experience managing planning, purchasing, inventory control, and/or logistics teams.
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Syteline, Epicor, SAP, Oracle or similar).
Analytical, data-driven mindset with ability to drive improvements.
Experience developing KPIs, metrics, and reporting tools to manage performance.
Knowledge of AS9100, FAA, and/or DoD requirements is required.
Supplier management and negotiation experience is required.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with production schedules and program milestones.
Lead and integrate Planning, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, and Inventory Control functions for seamless execution.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Program Management on schedules and changes.
Drive cross-functional alignment between demand, capacity, labor, inventory, and supplier performance.
Oversee ERP/MRP system usage and continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze MRP signals, demand trends, shortages, and capacity constraints to prevent impacts.
Develop dashboards and metrics to improve material flow and schedule attainment.
Implement inventory optimization strategies (safety stock, kanban, min/max, JIT).
Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting and process controls.
Ensure traceability and configuration control for materials and components.
Source, evaluate, onboard, and manage aerospace-qualified suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (OTD, quality, responsiveness).
Mitigate supply chain risks from sole-sources and long lead times.
Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, freight, and shipping compliance.
Ensure ITAR/EAR compliance and internal quality systems.
Support audits and regulatory inspections.
Lead, coach, and develop supply chain personnel.
