Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Houston, TX, is seeking a Production Control Specialist to support the Supply Chain Department in day-to-day inventory management and to coordinate the master shipping schedule to meet quarterly goals.

You will work with multiple departments, manage outside vendors, ground risk items, and provide backup support across supply chain and inspection. Qualifications include Excel, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/JDE), and strong communication; the role requires a high school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comply with PCC Code of Conduct and Cardinal Rules.
• Work safely under PPE and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and internal requirements.
• Ground and manage risk items for customer needs.
• Provide backup support through supply chain and inspection.
• Maintain and improve production schedule by highlighting risks.
• Develop metrics around risk shipments, E&O, and vendor OTD.
• Manage transfer of work orders between intermediate to finish stages.
• Interpret non-conformances and drive necessary rework.
• Manage inventory movement between outside vendors.
• Manage vendor throughput and priorities.
• Evaluate and interpret product requirements.
• Solve problems by optimizing scheduling with constraints.
