Whippany Actuation Systems in Whippany, NJ is seeking a Supply Chain Buyer to manage supplier relationships and coordinate procurement of materials, components, and services for the facility. You will monitor, plan, and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery while supporting new product development initiatives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3+ years in procurement, and the ability to travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
3 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to travel up to 5%.
Authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

Aim for lowest total cost for material while meeting quality and schedule needs.
Evaluate proposals using negotiation and cost-analysis techniques.
Use ERP/MRP plans to anticipate and plan requirements.
Implement contracts with compliant purchasing practices.
Support new product introduction and development to optimize sourcing.
Collaborate with Program Management, Operations, Engineering and Quality to meet schedules.
Manage PO activities including creation, changes, VRMA, RTV and invoicing.
Assist with special projects for purchasing leadership.
