Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. seeks a Specialist Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Los Angeles County supplier quality team.

This on-site role focuses on ensuring supplier quality, driving process improvements, and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to meet engineering, manufacturing, and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate has machining supplier experience and knowledge of machining processes, inspection methods, and supplier quality systems in aerospace or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of quality experience or graduate degree with 2+ years; in lieu, 8+ years experience
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Ability to travel onsite to regional suppliers up to 80% of the time
• Excellent problem-solving and RCCA experience (preferred)
• Experience with AS9100 aerospace quality systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Visit suppliers to review product and process issues and ensure PO, drawings, and spec compliance
• Perform root cause analysis and drive process improvements at supplier sites
• Participate in Early Supplier Engagement activities and supplier readiness reviews
• Create reports on supplier performance, NCR history, and CoPQ impact
• Manage supplier ratings/scorecard system and supplier meetings
• Conduct periodic source inspections at assigned suppliers
