Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer to support the El Segundo tooling team in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will work with sub-tier suppliers to manage tooling fabrication, ensure quality, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and supplier teams.

This full-time, 12-month contract offers a 9/80 schedule, on-site work in El Segundo, and competitive pay of 44.65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with technical documentation and writing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience working with 3D CAD software
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional engineering and business teams
• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with sub-tier suppliers to manage the fabrication and delivery of tooling
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, procurement, and supplier management teams to meet requirements
• Define supplier statements of work in alignment with contract requirements and quality standards
• Maintain the tooling supplier list and review supplier performance
• Manage supplier waivers, deviations, and discrepancy reporting processes
• Evaluate supplier nonconformances and negative performance trends
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Manage source inspection activities and coordinate with customers
• Verify End Item Data Packages within QTIS before shipment
• Review manufacturing Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) before shipment
• Use supplier performance databases and QA tools to document capabilities
• Partner across functions to maintain quality, compliance, schedule, and excellence
