Job summary

Triumph Group, based in West Hartford, CT, seeks a Supplier Development Engineer to support external hydromechanical and thermal products, electronic assemblies, and related services. You will assess supplier capabilities, drive manufacturability improvements, and address delivery and quality issues within a high-visibility supply chain role.

You will liaise with Triumph Engineering and Quality, pursue cost-reduction ideas, and perform supplier risk assessments across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in a technical field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with external manufacturers and/or service providers.
• Ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external contacts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; creative and results-driven.

Responsibilities

• Liaison between the Supplier, Triumph Engineering and Triumph Quality.
• Drive process improvements in the supply base.
• Interface with internal teams and Suppliers to discuss risks and opportunities.
• Uphold quality and process system requirements; support RCCA with supplier.
• Use technical skills to bring cost reduction ideas to Supplier/Engineering.
• Conduct onsite Supplier Risk Assessments.
• Proactively manage poor performing suppliers using data trends.
