Job summary

Triumph Group in West Hartford, CT is seeking a Specialist, Supplier Development to serve as a technical resource within the Supply Chain team. You will assess supplier capabilities, support supplier non-conformances, and work with suppliers to identify manufacturability improvements and address delivery and quality issues.

The role requires collaboration with engineering and quality, driving process improvements across the supply base, and traveling up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field required.
• Experience in manufacturing with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with external manufacturers or service providers.
• Ability to analyze data and drive decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and travel ~40%.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between supplier, engineering and quality.
• Drive process improvements in the supply base.
• Facilitate communications between engineering and suppliers on risks and quality.
• Uphold quality and process system requirements and manage supplier non-conformities.
• Apply technical skills to cost reduction ideas with suppliers/engineering.
• Conduct on-site supplier risk assessments.
• Proactively manage underperforming suppliers using data trends.
