Job summary

A well known aerospace company is looking for an Experienced C-17 Structural or Electrical Repair Modifications Technician contractor in direct support of C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program. The position is located in Charleston, South Carolina.

Responsibilities include assembling, disassembling and modifying systems to correct failures or implement changes, overseeing overhaul, and testing. The candidate must be able to travel and pass background checks as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience working from heights with fall protection for 225 lb limit.
• 3+ years' experience reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings and specs.
• 3+ years' experience detecting hazardous conditions and safety issues via regular checks.
• 3+ years' experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems to correct failures or implement changes.
• Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoots pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults.
• Documents procedures and ensures compliance with required contracts and regulations.
• Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight-worthiness.
