Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Designer to perform design and drafting tasks for space and non-space flight hardware within an integrated product team. You will model parts, create assemblies, and generate drawings and BOMs using Creo and PDMlink while supporting manufacturability and cost goals.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project milestones and budgets.

• Proficient with Creo for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Experience applying manufacturability considerations to designs.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design on multiple projects through all phases of product lifecycle and take direction on tasks from lead project mechanical engineers.
• Create part models, assembly layouts, detailed drawings, and bills of materials using Creo for solid modeling and PDMlink for data management.
• Implement requirement changes and minimize costs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to apply design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Complete program communications such as status reports, meetings, and peer reviews.
• Execute engineering design changes for parts and assemblies.
• Participate in scheduling and budgeting activities.
• Validate concepts through models and prototypes.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver complete design packages.
