Saab is expanding its advanced manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, IN, seeking 3rd shift Structural Assemblers to build the aft fuselage for the U.S. Air Force's T-7A Red Hawk. The roles include assembling the aircraft structure, training new team members, and contributing to our state-of-the-art production system.

Start date early December 2026. Compensation starts at $23–$25 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour third-shift premium; duties include following procedures, quality requirements,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant assembly or hand tool experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsabilités

• Assemble aircraft structure per procedures and quality requirements.
• Train new team members and transfer knowledge.
• Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale.
• Perform functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Handle Class A surfaces including touch-up painting.
• Sign off completed work per specification.
• Collaborate in a team-based environment and maintain quality.
• Contribute to Saab values of Trust, Drive, Expertise and Support.
