Job summary

Saab is seeking 3rd shift Structural Assemblers to build the aft fuselage for the U.S. Air Force T-7A Red Hawk at the West Lafayette, IN facility. Paid on-site training through the Aerospace structures academy, with an anticipated start in December 2026.

Starting hourly rate ranges from $23-$25 with a $2/hour shift premium. Responsibilities include assembling aircraft structure, following standardized procedures, and assisting in training new team members while contributing to safety, quality,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant assembly or hand tool experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft fuselage components to match specifications.
• Train new team members and support continuous improvement.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Sign off when work is complete according to specification.
• Support training and knowledge transfer to new employees.
