Honeywell Aerospace in Tempe, AZ seeks an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer – Stress Analysis to join a global team applying FEA and classical methods to aerospace components. You will report to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager and work on a hybrid schedule from Tempe.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years of structural analysis experience, with strong ANSYS knowledge and excellent communication and teamwork skills to drive design reviews and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM field.
• 5+ years of static, dynamic, and modal analysis using FEA software (ANSYS preferred).
• Strong understanding of ANSYS finite element software and hand calculation methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across diverse audiences.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis using complex finite element and classical methods.
• Create technical documentation such as stress reports and part specifications.
• Collaborate with project, design and other engineering disciplines.
• Create and present analysis results in design reviews (PDR/CDR).
• Provide workload estimation and ensure schedule adherence to milestones.
