Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is seeking a part-time Aerospace STEAM Instructor to promote and expand student achievement in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. You will work with the Education department, coordinating with program staff and volunteers across Denver locations.
Responsibilities include teaching 8–18 year olds, developing and delivering 3D visualization and printing lessons, and helping design onsite and offsite programs such as camps and workshops.
Aerospace STEAM Instructor exists to accomplish Wings Over the Rockies’ educational mandate and responsibilities, particularly in promoting and expanding student achievement related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM). As a member of the Education department, this position works closely with the Education Program Coordinator, Education & Outreach Specialists, Aerospace Instructors, volunteers, and seasonal Summer Camp staff. Aerospace STEAM Instructor reports to the Director of Education.
The hiring for this part-time position is $25.00 annually.Working days will be Monday (at Exploration of Flight) and Tuesday and Wednesday at the Lowry location.
Wings Over the Rockies® is an air and space museum and operates in a historic aircraft hangar environment. This role requires working in a dynamic, active setting that includes proximity to aircraft, operational equipment, and public guests.
This is a part-time position, generally requiring 20-29 hours per week. Work schedules will vary based on operational needs and will include regular weekend hours, occasional evenings, and holidays. Weekday hours may vary depending on programming, events, and organizational priorities.
The role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, move throughout large indoor and outdoor spaces, and occasionally lift or move objects. The position may also involve working in varying environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations typical of a hanger setting.
