Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, is seeking an APU/Propulsion Controls Software Lead Project Engineer to lead the software portion for APU and Propulsion Controls projects, overseeing the full lifecycle from initiation to delivery on a hybrid schedule.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, define objectives and deliverables, manage scope, schedule and budget, monitor risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as DO-178B/C.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a PM or engineering role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex software projects from initiation to completion.
• Serve as CAM for the Software APU and Propulsion Controls teams.
• Define objectives, deliverables and success criteria.
• Develop and execute project plans including scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and ensure effective communication.
• Track software development, integration, verification and delivery with the Software Technical Lead.
• Monitor progress and address issues or risks; provide updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
