Job summary

RTX seeks students for hands-on experience in aerospace software engineering. You will develop full-stack web applications using Python, Flask, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript, while supporting aircraft communications and avionics software integration.

You’ll work with C++ and Python in desktop tools, read manuals and schematics, and contribute to unit tests and CI/CD workflows. Eligible candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in a STEM field with at least 60 credits by internship

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• C++ (Qt 6)

Responsibilities

• Full-stack web application development (Python, Flask, PostgreSQL, and JS)
• Support aircraft communications using various air-to-ground and ground-to-ground software applications
• Object-oriented programming for desktop applications (C++, Python)
• Avionics integration and support of flight simulation software, which often requires reading manuals, schematics, and other interface documents
• Create unit tests and evaluate software against requirements (unit tests, CI/CD, and/or by hand in a lab environment)
