Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an Associate Manager, Software Engineering to lead a team of software engineers responsible for design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of software for aerospace systems and mission‑critical applications.

You will provide day‑to‑day leadership, technical guidance, and performance management while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing engineering environment across cross‑functional teams including systems, hardware, quality, and program management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 4–7 years of software engineering experience with at least 1 year in leadership.
• Experience leading software teams in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers daily.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software with requirements.
• Oversee SDLC, IV&V, and configuration management.
• Drive process improvements and adoption of Agile and DevOps practices.
