Job summary

AeroVironment in the United States is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for a 12-week, onsite summer program. You will work with AV teams on real projects, learning to design, develop, and test software for Titan-SV missions while gaining hands-on aerospace experience.

The role emphasizes collaboration, Agile development, and practical software work in a dynamic environment, with potential relocation/housing stipends depending on team and location.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Python, C++, or Java.
• Familiarity with IDEs such as Visual Studio, Git, Eclipse.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, coding, testing, and debugging of software components.
• Contribute to tools and applications supporting Counter Unmanned Air Systems (C-UAS).
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams to integrate and test capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control workflows.
• Help develop scripts or automation to improve team workflows.
• Learn and apply Agile development practices and estimate timelines.
• Support prototypes, simulations, and PoC demonstrations.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas.
