Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) AST Engineering Center is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join project teams delivering sensor and signal processing software for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance applications. The role focuses on object-oriented C++ development in Linux, plus scripting in Python or MATLAB, within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM field.
• Experience with C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Familiarity with version control and defect tracking tools (Git, JIRA).
• Knowledge of network and communication protocols (TCP/IP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop object-oriented C++ software solutions in a Linux environment.
• Develop object-oriented web-based software solutions in a Linux environment.
• Apply software development lifecycle practices to projects.
