Job summary

RTX’s Applied Signal Technology division seeks a Software Engineer intern in Salt Lake City, UT. You will contribute to the build, test, and delivery of software for advanced systems used to process national security communications.

The role emphasizes proactive decision-making, learning, and collaboration within a team, with exposure to Jira, Confluence, Git, and Docker. Open to interns returning in 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM field and enrolled through internship.
• Experience in C++ on Linux is preferred.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Linux shell, Bash) and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Tackle complex technical problems within cross-disciplinary product teams.
• Assist in code reviews and testing support for software delivered to advanced systems.
