Job summary

RTX is seeking interns/co-ops to contribute to electric power distribution systems development in Rockford, IL. You will participate in full lifecycle software activities using C and work toward aerospace standards DO-178B/C with an onsite team.

The program emphasizes structured development, rigorous documentation, and hands-on learning from senior engineers, offering a strong foundation for a career in aerospace software.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in STEM and actively enrolled through the internship session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience can be from on-the-job work, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment on full life-cycle development of electric power distribution systems.
• Engage in planning, requirements, design, verification, and certification/qualification.
• Follow DO-178B/C design assurance processes and maintain well-documented artifacts.
