Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join the AST team in San Jose, CA. You will develop high-quality C++ and Python software in a Linux environment, contributing to signals intelligence and sensor processing projects.

You will collaborate with engineers, gain exposure to COMINT/ELINT concepts, and learn software lifecycle practices while contributing to government-facing systems in a hands-on, onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop object-oriented C++ software solutions in a Linux environment.
• Develop object-oriented Web based software solutions in a Linux environment.
• Write Python, MATLAB, and/or similar scripting/programming languages in a Linux software development environment.
• Work independently and in a small team environment.
