Job summary

The Boeing Company in Oklahoma City is seeking a Software Development Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Senior) to join the B-52 Software Blocks (BSB) team located in Oklahoma City, OK. This role supports the Boeing Defense, Space & Security organization and focuses on non-embedded software across the end-to-end lifecycle.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain software while collaborating on verification plans, integrating components, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; U.S. Secret clearance eligibility required.
• 5+ years in software development with Java, C, or Ada 95.
• 5+ years of hands-on software deployment and testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain non-embedded software across end-to-end lifecycle.
• Develop and integrate software components into a functional system.
• Collaborate on verification plans, tests, and environments.
• Execute tests and document results to verify requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into initial software design.
• Develop and optimize software for system integrations.
• Document architectures, interfaces, and designs.
• Debug and resolve issues to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Handle user inquiries and analyze feedback.
• Apply current technologies and regulatory changes in software development.
• Monitor and improve software processes and metrics.
