Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• Active US Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Strong verbal and written communication with stakeholders including management and military personnel.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze large datasets.
• Experience as a software or safety engineer.

Responsibilities

• Defines and validates safety, mission success, and airworthiness; supports designs, operations, and procedures.
• Supports internal software certification processes.
• Performs hazard tracking and risk resolution via SSHA, SAR and SCFTA.
• Conducts safety assessments and safety memos; supports safety boards and reviews.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate safety requirements.
• Briefs management, program office, and USAF personnel on safety issues.
• Verifies that systems meet defined safety requirements through analyses and reviews.
