Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Security Specialist to serve as the site’s primary security advisor, protecting people, facilities, assets, information and reputation through a risk-based program. You will work with the Central Security Team, site leadership and stakeholders to identify risks and implement controls aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

You will lead day-to-day security operations, conduct TVRAs, develop site security plans, coordinate third-party security

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 9+ years in security preferred.
• 5+ years in security management, law enforcement, operations or military.
• Ability to develop and implement security plans and projects.
• Experience managing third party contractors and service providers.
• Understanding of information security risks and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead day to day security operations for the site.
• Conduct TVRA to identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain site security plans and procedures.
• Coordinate third party security guarding and technical providers.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory obligations.
• Partner with leadership to support security objectives.
• Serve as liaison with government agencies and law enforcement.
• Coordinate incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver security awareness training to staff and contractors.
• Support security clearance activities and maintain records.
• Lead continuous improvement of the site security program.
