Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Security Specialist to administer key management and access control, oversee audits, and train staff across security and facilities. You will implement lean practices to safeguard personnel and assets while coordinating with locksmiths and site stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Associate degree (or equivalent experience), security clearance eligibility, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate of Science degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong industrial security technical skills, including familiarity with access control software and hardware.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Access Management: Administer GE Aerospace Research key systems and policies for granting, revoking, auditing, and modifying key access.
• Maintain records of key issuances, returns, and access logs; ensure compliance with rules.
• Develop processes to inform and ensure compliance of keyholders with key possession rules.
• Manage the One Research Circle Key Request Workflow authorization process.
• Align key software databases with site access restrictions and regulatory mandates.
• Provide work directions to site locksmiths on security levels and inventory.
• System Monitoring and Maintenance: update databases for key workflows and Traka system; optimize distribution and collection processes.
• Create and maintain standard work documentation for key management processes.
• Policy Compliance: ensure adherence to GE policies; conduct audits of keyholders and inventories.
• Develop and deliver training on key access control protocols; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration: work with cross-functional teams to align key management with organizational goals; communicate with stakeholders.
