Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to develop and deploy hardware changes for training devices and simulators. You will implement, test, and document modifications to the hardware baseline, supporting a range of training systems used in defense and civil aviation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years in engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office. U.S. citizenship is required for DoD-related work, with potential for overtime and shift flexibility in a

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field and 5+ years in a related engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, etc.).
  • Experience in aviation or aviation-related simulation hardware design/modification is highly desired.
  • Proficient in technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
  • Proficient in creating/modifying drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Able to deliver oral presentations to management and customers.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and overtime as required.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to DoD contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, and implement hardware for training devices and systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain training equipment and site readiness.
  • Perform diagnostics and provide ongoing support for training devices and systems.
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as inventory and license compliance.
  • Develop test strategies and hardware/ system qualifications; draft technical drawings and manuals.
  • Collaborate with test teams during preparation and testing phases.
  • Produce preliminary and detailed designs for enhancements or modifications.
