Job summary

Vantor Inc. is seeking an Aerospace Modeling & Simulation Software Engineer to develop tools for government and commercial customers. You will build simulation tools, data processing workflows, analyses, and visualizations for future space, airborne, and ISR sensor systems.

This hands-on role requires translating mission needs into software requirements and delivering reliable, scalable software. On-site work and active TS/SCI clearance are mandatory commitments.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Python, C++, Java, C#, MATLAB, JavaScript, or similar.
• Familiarity with aerospace systems or ISR environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software tools for aerospace modeling, simulation, and data visualization.
• Extend high-fidelity simulators with new features and capabilities.
• Create modular, maintainable software architectures for scalable simulation features.
• Develop scripts, APIs, and data pipelines to support scenario generation and analysis.
• Translate mission needs into software requirements with engineers and customers.
• Build efficient data processing and visualization workflows for large datasets.
• Improve simulator performance, usability, and automation.
• Perform debugging, verification, and validation of software tools and results.
• Apply modern software engineering practices including version control, testing, documentation, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while owning independent tasks.
