Job summary

Select Staffing has a Shipping and Receiving clerk position at an aerospace company in Simi Valley, CA. The role offers a morning shift and a temporary-to-hire path with pay between $20 and $25 per hour.

You will assist with stockroom operations, inspect incoming components, and maintain inventory accuracy. Strong English skills, 3+ years experience, and pcMRP familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using inventory management computer systems, preferably pcMRP.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows 7, Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent oral and written English skills
• U.S. citizen or resident status.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stockroom operations including inventory control, materials movement, receiving, cycle counting and physical inventories
• Receive and inspect incoming electrical components and mechanical assemblies
• Maintain very high standards of inventory accuracy
• Maintains master file of stock items by assigning number to new stock items; updating inventory counts and recording reorder point information.
• Utilize inventory management computer systems, preferably pcMRP, to track inventory levels and movement
• Monitor inventory levels and request replenishment as needed
• Optimize layout of stockroom for efficiency
• Ensure policies for ESD, moisture sensitivity, and other storage requirements are followed
• Collect and forward packing slips and shipping documentation
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
