Job summary

Select Staffing in Simi Valley, CA is seeking a Stockroom Clerk for a role in an aerospace company. The position offers a $20–$21/hour DOE, a morning shift, and a 9/80 schedule, with temp-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities include inventory control, receiving, and kitting for PCB/electromechanical assemblies within an engineering environment. pcMRP knowledge and blueprints reading are a plus. US citizenship or residency is required.

Qualifications

• Experience receiving electrical and mechanical components.
• Familiarity with pcMRP inventory system is a plus.
• Kitting for PCB and electromechanical assemblies.
• Adherence to receiving and inventory processes.
• Experience in engineering/production environment preferred.
• Defense/aerospace environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stockroom operations including inventory control, materials movement, receiving, cycle counting and physical inventories.
• Maintain master file of stock items and update counts and reorders.
• Monitor inventory levels and request replenishment as needed.
• Optimize stockroom layout for efficiency.
• Ensure ESD, moisture sensitivity and storage policies are followed.
• Handle packing slips and shipping docs.

Stockroom Clerk

The candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in:

• Receiving of electrical components and mechanical components
• Using inventory management computer systems, preferably pcMRP
• Kitting components for PCB and electromechanical assemblies
• Following receiving and inventory processes
• Working within an engineering and production environment
• Experience with pcMRP inventory system a plus
• Experience in the defense and aerospace environment a plus

Responsibilities to include:

• Oversee stockroom operations including inventory control, materials movement, receiving, cycle counting and physical inventories
• Maintains master file of stock items by assigning number to new stock items; updating inventory counts and recording reorder point information.
• Monitor inventory levels and request replenishment as needed
• Optimize layout of stockroom for efficiency
• Ensure policies for ESD, moisture sensitivity, and other storage requirements are followed
• Collect and forward packing slips and shipping documentation

Additional Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings and understand tolerance
• Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows 7, Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent oral and written English skills
• U.S. citizen or resident status

1+ year of stockroom experience
