Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in aerospace structural assembly and sheet metal modification.
• Proficient reading and interpreting technical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Experience installing rivets, hi-locks and using precision measuring tools.
• Familiar with airframe corrosion removal and structural repair techniques.
• Own and maintain a professional set of tools.
• Strong attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pass physical, drug screen, background check, driving record screening, and obtain/maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Utilize expert sheet metal skills to execute skin doubling, countersinking, and complex structural repairs.
• Assemble major aerospace structures and perform part-fitting operations, including filing, sawing, trimming, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
• Align parts precisely on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures.
• Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete installations per drawings.
• Measure components with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and maintain quality.
• Modify complete and incomplete assemblies, incorporating required engineering changes into the structure.
