Job summary

TekWissen LLC seeks an experienced Designer III to coordinate seat and seat component designs for a major aerospace program. You will interface with customers and vendors, review requirements, and progress design tasks while ensuring schedule adherence.

Candidates should have a Mechanical Engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) and 5+ years of related design experience, preferably in aircraft seating. Onsite in Gainesville, TX, with a 6-month assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related design experience with Bachelor's degree, or 4 years with Master's degree.
• Must have experience in aerospace seating or related product design.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design work for seats and seat components across teams.
• Review customer requirements and convert them into design specifications.
• Prepare layouts for structural and articulation systems.
• Define design standards to ensure product line consistency.
• Prepare advanced bill of materials and long-lead items.
• Review design packages for compliance with specs and regulations.
• Create and release engineering drawings.
• Interface with program managers and vendors as needed.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
