Job summary

RTX in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking an onsite Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (3:30 pm – 12:00 am, Mon–Fri). You will perform disassembly, rework, repair, inspection, and assembly on aerospace components, following manuals and procedures.

Requirements include 1–2 years of related experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Preference for aerospace/manufacturing background and blueprint-reading skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the aerospace environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, rework, repair, inspect, assemble and finalize products per manuals and procedures.
• Ensure documentation, specifications, procedures, and tools are met and traceable.
• Perform inspection checks, documenting results and maintaining records.
• Order and track parts using inventory systems and prepare supplemental requisitions.
• Use precision measuring tools (surface plate, dial indicators, height gauges, micrometers, ohmmeters) for checks.
• Prepare units for preservation and ensure proper cleaning and degreasing.
• Handle routing and process decisions based on customer service instructions.
• Support maintenance and test at component or sub-assembly level.
