Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Elyria, OH is seeking an R&O Technician for 1st shift to test, repair, modify or overhaul customer returned units in accordance with manuals, blueprints, and FAA regulations. You will perform diagnostic testing, part replacement, reassembly, soldering, and record-keeping with ISO 9001 standards.

The role requires 1–5 years in overhaul of electronic components and ability to read English manuals. Soldering and bench test equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years experience in the overhaul, modification, and repair of electronic components.
• Experience in pumps teardown and assembly highly preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand, and follow manuals blueprints, and all written work instructions and procedures in English.
• Must be able to use all hand tools, soldering irons, and all bench test equipment.
• Must be able to function and participate in a team environment.
• FAA repairman's certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Test, evaluate, estimate, and perform repair, modification or overhaul of customer returned units to manufacturing specs per manuals and FAA regs.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and estimate time and parts needed for repair or overhaul.
• Select and requisition replacement parts as required.
• Reassemble units and replace parts, including soldering, potting, and testing.
• Record time, parts, and quality on all paperwork in compliance with ISO 9001.
