Job summary

ADDMAN is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to lead proposal and estimating efforts for Polymer Division. You will craft detailed manufacturing plans for 3D printing and assembly, spanning prototyping to high-volume production across aerospace, commercial launch, and defense sectors.

The role emphasizes pricing accuracy, responsiveness, and collaboration with engineering and production teams. The ideal candidate has extensive quoting experience, CAD tooling knowledge, and a strong track

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quoting specialist with engineering background.
• Detail-oriented with RFQ/part/spec analysis and internal requirements.
• Proficient in CAD viewers to interrogate CAD models and annotations (SolidWorks/CATIA/NX).
• Excellent data entry accuracy and record-keeping.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with multiple priorities.
• Clear communication and customer service for internal/external stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years in aerospace quoting; 5+ years in manufacturing.
• Experience supporting multiple locations or Shared service is a plus.
• Self-starter; innovative thinker with continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, and lead or follow as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal and estimating process with engineering insights.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates using pricing models, ERP, and quoting tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to validate manufacturability and lead times.
• Ensure pricing aligns with customer expectations and business objectives.
• Generate formal quotes within required turnaround times.
• Maintain quote records, revisions, and pricing history in systems.
• Communicate quote clarifications and cost drivers to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of quoting accuracy and turnaround time.
• Assist with customer order handoff from quote to production planning.
