Job summary

Parts Tool & Die, LLC is seeking an Estimating and Procurement Specialist to translate customer requirements into accurate quotes and ensure production readiness.

You will own RFQ review, quote development, purchasing execution, and supplier follow-up with cross-functional teams, driving value through cost, timing, and quality. This role directly impacts margins and on-time delivery in aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supporting aerospace/defense, or other regulated industries in estimating, purchasing, or sourcing.
• Strong numerical reasoning and commercial judgment for cost/lead time, and risk assessment.
• Confident supplier communication and negotiation with professional relationship building.
• Exceptional attention to detail and disciplined documentation for quotes and purchasing.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple RFQs and contracts without sacrificing accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs and classify opportunities as new, repeat, or revised work.
• Research prior quote histories and extraction of lessons learned for repeat work.
• Review drawings, specs, and customer requirements for new work to prepare accurate quotes.
• Populate and maintain quote worksheets, logs, and ERP records for traceability.
• Place and track purchase orders, ensuring delivery aligns with the production plan.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Customer Service to establish complete assumptions.
