Aerospace Fabrication Pricing Analyst

Do you enjoy turning complex drawings into precise, defensible numbers? Can you balance competitiveness with profitability while meeting aerospace and industry standards? If so, you might be the pricing strategist we’re looking for.

Your Impact

Own the estimating process for precision metal fabrication work—ensuring every quote reflects accurate costs, realistic schedules, and clear scope, while aligning with customer expectations.

What You’ll Tackle
Cost Modeling & Quotations
  • Build end-to-end estimates for materials, labor, equipment usage, tooling, and subcontracted services.
  • Interpret drawings, specs, and RFQ requirements to create complete and timely quotes.
  • Use historical run data and current capacity to set reliable costs and delivery dates.
  • Verify manufacturability and process flow with engineering and production prior to quote release.
  • Issue formal customer quotations on or ahead of schedule.
Supplier & Material Strategy
  • Partner with procurement to source current pricing and lead times for metals and services.
  • Evaluate competing supplier proposals for cost, quality, and dependability.
  • Track market movements to keep estimates aligned with real-world costs.
Process Excellence
  • Refine estimating tools, templates, and SOPs to improve speed and accuracy.
  • Document key assumptions, pricing methodology, and scope clarifications in each bid.
  • Participate in post-quote reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, quality, production, and customer service to ensure quotes match internal capabilities and customer goals.
  • Provide technical and pricing insights during proposal development.
  • Support the transition from quote to build by delivering detailed project information to the executive management team and operations.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of estimating or manufacturing cost analysis experience, preferably in precision sheet metal or adjacent industries (aerospace, defense, automotive).
  • Associate or Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in fabrication processes—cutting, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly.
  • Hands-on with estimating software and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel required.

  • Detail-driven, analytical, and an effective communicator.

Every estimate you deliver will be competitive and profitable while supporting compliance with aerospace and industry standards.
