Job summary

INDA is seeking a Quoting Engineer / Aerospace Estimator in Fairfield County, CT, to join a high-precision aerospace manufacturing team. The role blends engineering, pricing, and production planning to win complex programs.

You will review RFQs, blueprints, and customer requirements, assess manufacturability, and develop detailed cost estimates for materials, machining, and outside processing, collaborating with sales and leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace estimating, quoting, manufacturing engineering, or cost analysis.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations and machining processes.
• CATIA experience preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, blueprints, specs, and customer requirements for aerospace parts.
• Assess manufacturability for machined and fabricated parts.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, machining, and outsourcing.
• Support quotes for major aerospace customers (Sikorsky, Lockheed, Boeing, Spirit).
• Collaborate with sales and manufacturing leadership on proposals.
• Review technical requirements in CAD/CAM environments; CATIA a plus.
• Coordinate with suppliers for material and outside processing pricing.
• Manage high quote volume—about 200 part numbers per week.
• Assist VP of Manufacturing with estimating and quoting strategy.
