Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Quality Technician to support factory operations by monitoring inbound supplier products for delays caused by nonconformances and by taking action to resolve issues affecting part availability. This role requires strong inspection skills and experience with quality documentation.

The position emphasizes problem solving, communication with suppliers, and continual improvement within a manufacturing environment. Local candidates in the Hauppauge, NY area are preferred.

Qualifications

• Effective use of Microsoft software tools for communication.
• Must possess the ability to identify problems, develop and implement solutions.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding complex blueprints, route sheets, test specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
• Visual inspection skills including color perception and the ability to pass a vision test.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics including trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day problems with supplier and internal products to ensure manufacturing availability.
• Communicate with suppliers directly to resolve issues and ensure supplier product availability.
• Support containment of nonconforming parts upon receipt and validate corrective actions.
• Serve as a liaison between external and internal functions to ensure premier customer service and drive continuous improvement.
• Review Supplier First Article Inspections, PPAPs and other quality documentation.
