Job summary

Timken in Rutherfordton, NC is seeking a Senior Quality Technician Aerospace to own APQP/NPI and MOC at the plant level. You will coordinate complex inspections, ensure DFMEA/PPAP submissions, and mentor quality staff while interfacing with customers on technical matters.

Role requires 5+ years in manufacturing quality, strong GD&T/inspection knowledge, and a collaborative, cross-functional leadership style. On-site work with comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing quality with progressive responsibility.
Associate’s degree or technical certificate preferred.
Experience with APQP, PPAP/FAI, and MOC.
Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and dimensional inspection practices.

Responsibilities

Own and govern APQP/NPI and MOC for multiple projects; meet milestones and customer requirements.
Lead development and tracking of APQP schedules; elevate risks and drive resolutions.
Coordinate FAI/PPAP submissions and customer communications; represent the plant in meetings.
Plan and analyze Cp/Cpk, MSA, and other statistical studies; present findings to leadership.
Mentor Quality staff and drive corrective/preventive actions.
Lead cross-functional teams to execute product/process launches and changes.
