Job summary

3M is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee product quality and quality systems for ceramic components used in the aerospace/defense sector. The role involves active problem solving, continuous improvement, supplier development, and customer interface.

You will work on-site in Clarkston, GA, contributing to problem resolution and ensuring compliance with quality documentation and data packages, with potential on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering completed before start.
• Three years of quality and/or manufacturing experience in engineering.
• Experience in aerospace/defense is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality systems and CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality and continuous improvement efforts for ceramic components for aerospace/defense customers.
• Implement internal audits and IQC processes.
• Manage CAPA and root cause analysis.
• Drive supplier development and customer interfacing.
• Support production with quality documentation and product evaluation.
• Be on-call to support production, engineering, or customers as needed.
