Job summary

Matternet, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive airworthiness through the M3 program from development to large‑scale deployment.

You will manage supplier qualification, first article approvals, and quality controls across manufacturing and conformance processes. The role requires strong expertise in DO-178C or similar standards, 8D/DMAIC methods, and cross‑functional collaboration with safety, engineering, and regulatory teams to ensure continuous quality improvements and contract

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or a related field.
Experience in aerospace, avionics, automotive, robotics or similar complex hardware with embedded software.
Experience managing nonconformances and MRB using an 8D/DMAIC methodology.

Responsibilities

Lead the M3 product quality from development through deployment.
Manage supplier quality and first article approval.
Oversee manufacturing quality and in-process through finished goods inspections.
Lead nonconformance containment and 8D/DMAIC actions.
Support quality systems compliance and audits.
Coordinate with safety, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to close quality gaps.
Perform periodic supplier quality assessments.
Coordinate transfers of production lines to contract manufacturers.
Define FAA/CAA compliant quality criteria for new products.
