Job summary

Mural Group is partnering with a growing precision CNC machining company in Hamilton, Ohio to place a Quality Manager. The role centers on owning and expanding a robust AS9100 quality system, leading FAI/AS9102 processes, and serving as the primary contact for quality issues with aerospace and defense customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive quality experience in a precision machining, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on ownership of an AS9100 quality management system including audits and certification
• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading capability

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the AS9100 quality management system including internal audits, corrective action programs, and certification compliance
• Lead First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 documentation processes from initiation through customer approval
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality escapes, corrective action requests, and quality surveillance visits
• Oversee CMM inspection and measurement programs, ensuring dimensional conformance to customer specifications and GD&T callouts
• Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection records
• Partner with production, engineering, and purchasing to drive continuous improvement and prevent recurrence of quality issues
• Build and develop the quality team as the department scales
