Job summary

Mural Group in Hamilton, OH is seeking a Quality Manager to build and own the AS9100 quality management system for a precision CNC aerospace/defense operation. You will drive audits, CAPA, and certification readiness, and partner with production and engineering to scale the quality function.

The role emphasizes hands-on ownership of QMS, AS9100/FAI, GD&T, and CMM oversight, with strong growth potential as the site expands. This is a direct hire, on-site position in Hamilton, OH.

Qualifications

• AS9100 quality management system ownership and hands-on administration
• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading capabilities
• CMM inspection/measurement oversight experience
• Experience responding to customer corrective action requests and quality escapes
• Familiarity with APQP/First Article Inspection (FAI) processes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the AS9100 quality management system including internal audits, corrective action programs, and certification compliance
• Lead First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 documentation from initiation through customer approval
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality escapes and corrective action requests
• Oversee CMM inspection and measurement programs ensuring dimensional conformance to specs and GD&T callouts
• Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection records
• Partner with production, engineering, and purchasing to drive continuous improvement and prevent recurrence of quality issues
• Build and develop the quality team as the department scales
