Qualifications

• AS9100 quality management system ownership and hands-on administration

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the AS9100 quality management system including internal audits, corrective action programs, and certification compliance
• Lead First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 documentation from initiation through customer approval
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality escapes and corrective action requests
• Oversee CMM inspection and measurement programs ensuring dimensional conformance to specs and GD&T callouts
• Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection records
• Partner with production, engineering, and purchasing to drive continuous improvement and prevent recurrence of quality issues
• Build and develop the quality team as the department scales

Mural Group is partnering with a growing precision CNC machining company in Hamilton, Ohio to place a Quality Manager. This operation runs complex, tight-tolerance aerospace and defense components and is building out its quality function to match the pace of its growth. What You Will Do

• Own and maintain the AS9100 quality management system including internal audits, corrective action programs, and certification compliance

• Lead First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 documentation processes from initiation through customer approval

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality escapes, corrective action requests, and quality surveillance visits

• Oversee CMM inspection and measurement programs, ensuring dimensional conformance to customer specifications and GD&T callouts

• Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection records

• Partner with production, engineering, and purchasing to drive continuous improvement and prevent recurrence of quality issues

• Build and develop the quality team as the department scales

What You Bring

• 5+ years of progressive quality experience in a precision machining, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environment

• Demonstrated ownership of an AS9100 quality management system - not just familiarity, but hands-on administration and audit responsibility

• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading capability

• CMM experience, either hands-on or in an oversight capacity

• Direct experience responding to customer corrective action requests and managing quality escapes

• IATF 16949, NADCAP, or aerospace supplier quality experience is a meaningful differentiator
