Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney AutoAir facility in Lansing, MI is hiring a professional Quality Manager to ensure QMS adherence and high product quality within a manufacturing cell. You will lead quality engineers, mentor teams, and partner across safety, operations and engineering to meet deliverables.

The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, corrective actions, and strong supplier/customer relationships within a regulated aerospace environment. Onsite work in Lansing, MI is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 7+ years of aviation/aerospace quality leadership.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or MRO operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (AS9100/AS9110 or ISO 9001) and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of quality engineers to deliver results with safety, quality, delivery and cost focus.
• Mentor the quality organization to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with safety, operations, engineering, materials and maintenance to meet deliverables and solve problems.
• Review and approve technical data and work instructions in support of engineering and operations.
• Manage Material Review Board and Clinic inventories, investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive implementation.
• Perform Escape Management, root-cause analysis and corrective actions for internal products and processes.
• Promote Product Safety and Quality culture through QMS compliance and Cardinal Rules.
• Oversee internal audits and corrective actions; reduce quality notifications and cost of poor quality.
• Represent the business with external customers and suppliers to resolve concerns.
