Job summary

Times Microwave Systems in Wallingford, CT seeks a Quality Manager to lead the local quality team, ensuring AS9100 compliance and driving continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering and others to respond to information requests and resolve non-conformities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and at least 3 years as a Quality Engineer in aerospace; proficiency with DISCUS and Net-Inspect for FAI/FAIRs, and knowledge of AS9100/AS9102.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3+ years in aerospace quality.
• Experience with DISCUS and Net-Inspect for FAI/FAIRs.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Manages direct reports including the Quality Engineering and Inspection functions.
• Coaches and directs the team to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with customers, driving improved service.
• Uses the CAPA tool to track and resolve root cause evaluations.
• Drive a continuous improvement culture in problem solving.
• Verifies effectiveness of problem resolution by monitoring production performance.
• Works with customers and suppliers for quality audits, source inspections and concerns.
• Develops, implements, maintains documents and procedures per industry standards.
• Represents Quality for new product introduction and program launches, ensuring requirements are met.
• Participate in contract reviews to ensure compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and training to manufacturing on quality standards.
• Oversee and coordinate First Article Inspection (FAI) with team.
• Participate in FMEA teams and provide input from floor.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues.
