Job summary

CMI Group in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks a Quality Manager to lead the quality function for a multisite defense/aerospace manufacturing operation. You will set quality strategy, ensure AS9100 and NADCAP compliance, and drive COPQ reduction while partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing and Production Control.

The role requires on-site presence, leadership of a Quality team, and strong RCCA/8D problem-solving expertise to support customer and supplier quality objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a focus in mechanical engineering, quality systems, or related field.
• 10+ years leading quality in defense/aerospace environments is preferred.
• Experience with AS9100 audits (Rev. D), ITAR/EAR compliance, and FAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the Quality department across multiple sites.
• Reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ) and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer and supplier quality initiatives and NCR/RCCA activities.
• Direct inspection, QA engineering, and CMM programs to support production parts.
