Job summary

GE Aerospace in Pompano Beach, FL seeks an experienced Quality Engineer / Customer Quality Engineer to serve as the primary quality interface with customers and lead the hourly inspection team to ensure safe, compliant manufacturing operations.

You will drive root cause analyses, CAPA, and continuous improvement across quality metrics, partnering with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to resolve issues and uphold contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of experience in quality/manufacturing.
• Minimum 4 years in quality-related roles and leadership.
• Experience leading teams in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
• Ability to interface with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer quality point of contact for assigned accounts.
• Interface with customer quality organizations on escapes, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Lead and manage customer and internal quality issues, including containment and CAPA.
• Provide direct people leadership for the hourly inspection team.
• Lead daily inspection activities to support production requirements and commitments.
• Ensure work complies with quality procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain to resolve quality issues.
• Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify recurring issues and drive improvements.
• Support responses to customer concerns, audits, and site visits.
• Develop and communicate quality metrics and action plans to leadership and customers.
