Virgin Galactic seeks a highly motivated FAA A’P Quality Control Inspector to support the Quality team in enforcing QMS standards and ensuring airworthiness throughout the inspection process.

You will inspect components from engines to overall aircraft structure using various tools, report evidence, and maintain safety and timeliness in daily tasks while collaborating with engineering, management and production teams.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years aerospace parts and components experience (MRO, manufacturing, maintenance) preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace standards required.
• Understanding of inspection techniques in manufacturing, logistics, and warehouse operations.
• Experience with nonconforming material control processes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
• Must comply with safety regulations and lift up to 50 lb.
• Proficient with computer applications to follow manufacturing work instructions.

Aufgaben

• Perform inspections as scheduled to ensure workmanship meets industry practices and QMS requirements.
• Conduct preliminary, in-progress and final inspections on all articles processed.
• Ensure MFG records, work orders, and forms are completed before release to service.
• Inspect for defects, proper identification, and dimensions using measuring devices.
• Document inspection results and complex processes accurately.
• Communicate inspection criteria and results to engineering, management, and production.
• Generate NCRs and NRIs as required.
• Perform receiving inspections for incoming material as needed.
• Tag and identify parts to ensure rejected or non-repairable items are quarantined.
• Support safety programs and participate in hazard investigations as needed.
• Assist in Root Cause Corrective Action activities as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to complete projects and provide guidance on inspection concepts.
• Assist in troubleshooting quality control installations and processes.
